Windows volume notification

when I adjust my volume with my hotkeys in ubuntu, I get a nice gui volume image. In windows, there is nothing like that by default. Are there any, preferably open-source, apps I can install to do that?

Depending on your sound card the device drivers might come with a visual representation when you adjust the volume. My Dell Latitude has this Dell Quickset software that gives me that functionality.
