I just noticed these stats:

Members: 561,284, Active Members: 69,653

What differentiates these two stats?

Isn't that the amount of people that are currently online? That sounds like a lot, if it is. It also might be the amount of people that log on regularly, as compared to all of the one-time members. That sounds more reasonable. Ask a Moderator.

Active members are those who have logged in within a specific amount of time. I'm not sure what it is currently set at, but my guess is that it is somewhere around a month. So, we have over 560,000 people registered, and nearly 70,000 of them have logged in to the forum at least once in the last month or so.

You weren't really asking this, but here are some stats you might enjoy...

We average about 1200 logged in members at any given time, sometimes closer to 800, and other times with close to 2000. In addition, we generally have between 5000 and 10000 guests (people not logged in to an account) viewing the forums at the same time.

That means we usually have somewhere between 6000 and 10000 people viewing the forums at any given time. That's a lot of people!

Yesterday, with the Hardy release, we set a record with over 24,000 people viewing the forums at the same time, most of those as guests.

I am truly amazed that only 2 servers are used to host this entire forum. If only you provided an internship for someone like myself to teach me how you are able to do it all -- Truly amazing!!

you know what would be great with the new forum update it's lost the unanswered posts button that would be great to get that back, it's nice to help people but that button being no more stops that

hey that's great to hear I always spent time fishing through them to see if someones latent post just got missed

We have to try to get the search function fixed first...right now, searching for unanswered posts uses too much server resources to be permissible. The function is slated to return, hopefully very soon.
