Hi,
I am trying to install skype on Ubunut 64 but it gave me an error that it was a 32 bit package. Does anyone know where I can find a 64 bit skype or how to get this working?

I think if you add the Medibuntu repository, it'll grab all of the dependencies needed to get it working.

I used the below threads to do a test install of skype.

Sorry, didnt work for me. The sound part.

I am on hardy 64b (upgraded from gutsy 64b) coming through beta.

Followed instructions in the post above, but the sound just doenst work.

Also, I only see two options in sound devices except default. shown in the screenshot.

Any ideas.. pls..

Does sound work in other applications? If not, then the problem doesn't have anything to do with Skype. First make sure that you can play back and record sound with for example Sound Recorder (Applications / Sound & Video / Sound Recorder).
