I wanted to configure this machine for dual booting
I tested the Ubuntu 8.04 i386 desktop and found everything worked incl the correct resolution my (E228WFP) monitor
I awaited for the release of the 8.04 LTS
I then re partitioned my hard drive including a 10gb ext3 and a 2gb swap partitions :)for ubuntu
I then installed 8.04 LTS from the live session, everything went like a dream, only took 20 mins to install.
When restarted, everything worked without having to tweak anything other than download the extra codes req for playing mp3's and videos when requested by "Movie Player" and "Rythmbox Music Player".
So now have a dual boot machine utilising both Vista and Ubuntu Hardy.
Well pleased on how easy it was
