No sound in UT2004

Sound in games has disappeared since upgrading to Breezy Final. I've disabled ESD and arts isn't running. I get no useful info from the ut2004.log
Error: Audio initialization failed.

I'm thinking it might have something to do with SDL?

Yeah, no problems anywhere else. I've just fixed it (for now at least) by compiling a new openal.o in the ut2004/system folder.

How did you compile a new openal file? My sound refuses to work with UT 2004, and compiling a new openal might work.
