Audigy 2 ZS Platinum cannot detect

I had Ubuntu 7.10 working fine on my machine. I decided to go for a clean install so I can dual boot. Now Ubuntu 8.04 does not seem to detect my sound card (Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum). I did some searching around but not able to find fix/update.

MSI K9N4 Ultra (disabled onboard sound is bios)
AMD 5200+ AM2 Athlon 64 X2
2 Gig Ram

It was a hardware issue ... One of the SATA cables was slack which caused some other issue as well. So all is well and working. Strange that it affected the sound card as well.

BTW. For those of you questioning 64bit versions. I have been running 7.10 for some months without and problems. Only one application didn't work and that was lightscribe.

But I say go for it. The more we use it the more time will be spent on development for it.
