What driver should I use so I can load 3D games?.
I had the correct driver to play games working in the last version of ubuntu, but I can't seem to fix it back now. My video card is enabled in hardware drivers, the gears animation works fine, and I can even rotate my desktop and enable those effects. However, I feel like my computer is not going it's usual speed, it lags when scrolling and what not. Also, I get "The X Server does not support the XRandR extension" when I try to change my resolution. I do not know that much about the xorg.conf and I'm pretty certain its values are incorrect. 3D games will no longer load. Is tweaking the xorg.conf all I need to do, or do I need to be using a different driver? Pointing me to a tutorial or something would be greatly appreciated.

Here's my xorg.conf:
# xorg.conf (X.Org X Window System server configuration file)
#
# This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
# values from the debconf database.
#
# Edit this file with caution, and see the xorg.conf manual page.
# (Type "man xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)
#
# This file is automatically updated on xserver-xorg package upgrades *only*
# if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
# package.
#
# If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
# again, run the following command:
# sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg
