Whenever I switch to a tty terminal it gives me a large font that does not stay within the bounds of the window, eg. when I type new commands and the bottom of the screen is reached it simply keeps going off screen and I can't see anything. It also does not have the correct horizontal resolution, so text is hidden off the right side of the screen. This problem always occurs if X is already running, but only occurs half the time when booting directly to terminal. It doesnt occur if I boot into safe mode, so I'm assuming it has something to do with X changing a setting. My resolution is fine from within X, so I'm not sure why it is messed up from tty. how would I fix this without messing up the X resolution?
