G'day,
I suggest you install in windows and then copy to linux and then try running with wine.
If you need to run the server, icculus (http://icculus.org/cgi-bin/finger/finger.pl?user=icculus) has provided these files, they are there just in case you can't wait.
ArmyOps:
2.5.0 is probably going to stay in beta through the weekend. Hopefully there
will be a Linux and Mac OS X client release next week. We were aiming for
a simultanous release, but it just didn't work out that way. Soon.
For now, here's JUST THE LINUX SERVER BINARY:
http://icculus.org/~icculus/tmp/aops250-lnxded-justbins.tar.bz2
You need the 2.5.0 Windows package (at a bazillion megabytes, I didn't
want to repackage it for this...if you want it all nice and tidy on
Linux, wait for the official release).
Install the game on Windows, copy it to a Linux box, unpack that
in the game's System directory. Tweak and run. If it doesn't work, you
can report bugs at https://bugzilla.icculus.org/, or wait for the
official release (but please, do report bugs!).
If the server hangs near startup, export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.10 and
rerun it. We'll probably force everyone to an NPTL-based glibc for the
next version, which fixes this problem better (but leaves older systems
in the dust...lame).
I am happy to wait, as this week is not far away. ;)

I dont think any emulator will help you out here due to the fact that there is a linux native version the programmers arent gonna take the time to add support for a windows game that is already native to linux
