How can you use Offline Messaging in Pidgin?

I use an MSN account on Pidgin but if the other user is offline, I can't chat to them, the message doesn't send. It does work if they appear offline and start the conversation. Can I get offline messaging to work?

I don't think this works with pidgin but it may in emesense.

the offline messaging feature is not yet supported by pidgin for MSN's network. However it does work for Yahoo's network. Trying emesense like ryan said or amsn may work as they are more geared towards MSN's network whereas Pidgin is geared at MULTIPLE network protocols
