View Full Version : Update Problem: ubuntu-desktop marked to be removed

Hello,

I've upgraded my ubuntu desktop to Hardy Heron today. Everything looked as it went fine.
After I rebooted the machine, I looked for updates. As I expected, no package had to be updated. But to my concern, the packages ubuntu-desktop, gdm, xorg, amarok, amarok-xine, fast-user-switch-applet, ... are now marked as to be removed!!!
Have I made something wrong? Does anyone else experience such problems?

How did you upgrade your PC to Ubuntu 8.04? Also can you post the output of:-
cat /etc/apt/sources.list

Just ran "update-manager -d"
