View Full Version : [SOLVED] How to mark thread as [SOLVED]?

Hi,
It looks like forum has changes. I was not on forum for couple of months. But know I can't find "Mark thread as solved" option. You know after I got solution I like to mark it as solved because anyone on forum can know this is solved and get solution from thread. There is also a benefit for other users that don't need to read messages: "Hi, I have solved the problem...".

Moved out of the Res Center to FFH.
The "Mark as Solved" function should be back soon :)

You can always edit the title of your thread to include [SOLVED].
I actually never used the mark-as-solved-button.

I always thought the 'Mark as Solved' did something else also (maybe logged a value for statistics? )

I changed the title of a post to [SOLVED] but it is not seen in the thread title list. It is only visible on the thread itself.

Of course, I actually go out of my way just to not solve any problems in the meanwhile.

That's why you're not responding to my question! :(
No, I won't tell you which one. Not until the [Solved] Button appears.

I'm happy - I had my chuckle for the day.
And this was/is a good one.

Are there any lawyers here? I won't say anything without a lawyer. A lawyer, a lawyer, a kingdom for a lawyer!

Don't tell them you have a kingdom in the beginning, they'll just want more.

Ssh - I don't have a kingdom, not even a small one. That way it does not bother me at all if they want more.
If you used Gnome you could run a small fishy applet which produces a bit of wisdom whenever you click on it. It has a few nice ones about lawyers. I can't quote them here. The CoC, you know.

Wanda, yes, I know about her. I used to have her in the panel when I used GNOME.
If you want her advise, run this command in the terminal:

Which reminds me of another pet peeve I have with the forum page redesign: Where did the 'find unanswered questions' button go? It used to be under Search or Quick Links.

Why if I don't get my kingdom now I'll have to mark your case [Solved]!!!

I don't want more than one kingdom loudly shouted you'd give for a lawyer.
Case [Solved], I'm here. Where's my deed?
EDIT: Just checked the Thread Tools - No [Solved] button yet, we'll have to do more "consulting" ... at a price of course.

I'm hoping to get a kingdom in the Swiss mountains from Popch, of course we're haggling over it now because La{cough cough} gave him the idea that I'd want more if I knew how much he had.
HEY! THAT'S YOU!
And of course it wasn't dirty, I never fight dirty.

Due to an unexplained scarcity of kings (m/f) which I am sure is purely due to seasonal fluctuation, will you settle for just the territory without any kings attached?
In order to deliver it to you per mail, it would have to be a not too expansive territory, let's say one inch squared or thereabouts.

How about one inche cubed, for those of us that are three dimensional?

Let's say one by one by two tenths, about?
And, being a figment of my imagination, you ought to be zero-dimensional, I believe.

Provided LaRoza get's the "cubed" kingdom as well. I don't need a Borg breathing down my neck. :(

Watch them, we have always chosen one member of a species to help us assimilate. See Locutus and Vox. Asking is swifter, but we don't mind the slighter longer route to assimilation. Resistance is futile.

On second thought, can the territory be separated from the surrounding area, or does it become just a rock by doing so? Not that I have any prejudices against rocks. Some of my best friends - oh, well.
I rather suspect LaRoza might be half right. The kingdom would have to be in three dimensions, at least. But can anyone tell me how tall the piece of ground would be? Surely, kingdoms go deeper than just one inch. To the center of the earth, perhaps?
Seeing that I will not be able to fulfill my promise of a kingdom (short of becoming a king myself which I won't go into right now), I'm afraid I'll have to backtrack on that deal.
Bruce, what question did you (not) say I did not answer?

Ahh, yes, but Locutus came back, and told me his [Secret].
Resistance is not necessary, for there will be no assimilation of SgtCanuck.

Now I have used search box and enter username=abcuser and marked all my solved posts as solved.
Thanks a lot,
