View Full Version : [ubuntu] Upgrade To Heron Killed Ability To Play Music Files

April 25th, 2008, 07:08 AM
Hey everyone. I just upgraded to Heron today from Gutsy, and now none of my music files will play. Ubuntu recognizes them as music files, but when I try to play them using Amarok or mPlayer, it freezes on second 0. This isn't just limited to my mp3s; it even happens with the .ogg in the "Example" folder! I tried reinstalling the restricted drivers, and then installing Medibuntu, but neither have helped. I know my sound works because I can hear the loading sound for Ubuntu and have successfully played streaming video. Does anyone have any clue as to why Heron would break my sound file support?
