I want to know how i can use an image as the background for my grub....thanks in advance..

edit- startupmanager may be an option for you. Its in the repositories or you can open a terminal and use "sudo apt-get install startupmanager" (without the quotes). To use it type sudo startupmanager into a terminal

gfxboot is another option, it provides much better support for graphics, but will require some compiling and the setting up of custom umessage files.

I think SUSE uses this...

Not for the faint hearted though
