Hi, I've just switched from XP to Ubuntu, and I've been looking for ways to get the 330 to work on ubuntu, but all of them are for the silver.

So is there anyway for me to get connected?

Oh yeah, and my ISP is TalkTalk.

Try running the talk talk software via WINE. Not sure if it's all integrated or you get a separate dial-up program, but it's worth a try.

EDIT: A quick google revealed this: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UKSpeedtouchDSLHowTo

There lots of info for your modem just do a search. Good luck!

Thanks, but that's the first one I tried, and it states it's for the silver one.

I have the Speedtouch 330 (black) and these are the notes I made for how I got mine to work in 7.10...

I downloaded the latest file from here (http://www.squeezedonkey.com/svn/linux/trunk/releases/ubuntu/32-bit%20i386/)
then burnt the .deb file to CD. Once the CD was inserted I believe it was straightfoward from there, as it walked you through it.
