http://www.intel.com/products/processor_number/chart/pentium_dual-core.htm

it's a 64 bit processor.

According to intel http://www.intel.com/products/processor_number/chart/pentium_dual-core.htm

that's a 64 bit processor so I'd go with the 64 bit edition. There are no real issues now with it.

what's the advantage of 64 bit version?

can it just access more RAM? is that the only advantage?

I have a Lenovo X61t, which is a tablet system with Core 2 Duo; considering it's a tablet, should I stick with the 32 bit version of Kubuntu or try out the 64 bit version? Any significant disadvantages of using a 64 bit version? For windows, there is a problem of lack of availability of some drivers for the 64 bit Vista; is it the same for Kubuntu 64 bit too? Thanks for the help...

From what I have seen over the last year, and this might be different now people using 64 version had
problems that didn't exist in 32 version. In my opinion it would seem like the 32 is the safe bet. In my opinion.

There are no disadvantages now. The main problem used to be codes and flash. Now there is w64codecs and flash comes inbuilt.

Try out the live cd. It will be quicker than 32 bit and can address more memory. i'e full 4 gig and more.

Here's a post about the advantages and disadvantages of running the 64bit version. You might want to consider these...
