ok, as you can probably guess I'm really new to this. I was just wondering what the beans that are attached to your forum account represent, and why beans?

I believe a while ago a member thought of using the bean theme for post counts.

Its possible to hide your Post count (somehow?) so beans shows an approximation of how many posts you've made, i believe it goes up to cups of Ubuntu, then what appears to be polystyrene (sp?) mugs of Ubuntu :P

What's the deal with coffee cups/beans and the funny titles?
Beans are posts. The post/bean count can be turned off by the user if so desired.
There tends to be a close connection between geeks and coffee, so that's where the theme came from. Yes, we know not everyone likes coffee, but it's just a silly thing.

I see the Beans have been replaced by "posts." It must have something to do with the forum software update.

One of the small things that will be fixed over time with the new vB version :)
