Dell Latitude D610

I have installed Ubuntu 7.10 twice, but it freezes suddenly when I am in terminal mode, or try to open some applications. The only way to bring the laptop live by forcing a complete shutdown.

Wondering if someone expereinced the same issue, and how it was resolved.

Nope, it works smooth on my Latitude D600 - perhaps you graphics card is faulty? Try working with drivers, or wait few more hours for Hardy and then try with that one :)
