Hello. I'm trying to listen to an audio file and have be doing so just fine up to this point. Now all of a sudden, when I click mp3 files the auido player turns gray and dies(just like firefox if I try to visit a website with flash).
At fire i though that it was the MP3 file..but to be sure i trying playing a different one that I knew worked. That crashed too.
I installed VLC and all MP3 files failed as well....What happened all of a sudden??
Only thing I can do is forcequit...

!VLC~owned
!Totem~pwned
!Rhythmbox~Dominated

I get the same problem when I'm playing World of Warcraft (wow) with the ALSA sound driver. When I close WoW then the sound from the mp3 comes back. How can I fix this?

](*,)
It's a domino effect.
For some reason ubuntu will play the start up sound when I long in AND when I go into the sound menu it will play the test sound.
As soon as I try playing a music file or a game with sound the audio just fails.
I tried testing the audio thru the menu afterwards and the sounf menu freezes.
If I try changing the sound playback device(OSS,Auto,ASLA) they all fail as well.
Scored 3d wont start with sound enabled so,in addition to the above, Methinks
its the sound card/drivers fault.
It just quit after working perfectly for so long....
