Hi, I can't make any post on the forums since the upgrade.
When I have finished typing my post, and click the "Submit Reply" button, the page reloads, empties the text box (except any quotes from the post I'm trying to reply to) where I just typed my post and tells me "The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 1 characters."

This happens in firefox 2.0.0.13 on gutsy. If you see this message it does not happen in Hardy with firefox 3.0b5.

Btw: Thanks Ubuntu-geek for taking care of the forums.

Are you sure you didn't type within the quotes instead of before or after?

Gutsy simian here, can post without any problems at all. Using Firefox 2.0.0.14

Use Opera.

Quotes don't count

I'm sure. I have tried several times, both with and without qoutes. It just reloads the page to the state it was in before I started typing. In fact I just tried replying to your post from my gutsy intall, with the same result, so I walked two meters to my laptop to reply from hardy...
I also tried to edit my post, and the only thing that happened is that the "reason for editing" was saved, but not the text I wrote...

Use Opera.

Thank's for the suggestion. I just installed Opera to see if it works.
But I prefer firefox, so I'd rather figure out what's wrong and fix it.

Edit: As you see it works in opera, so there's got to be something wring with my firefox.
I'll delete my ~/.mozilla folder and try again...

Let's see if that worked.

Problem solved!
Deleting ~/.mozilla was the way to go.

I would mark the thread as solved if it was possible (I guess ubuntu-geek has it on his list of things to do...).
