Ok, so i come from the world of XP and when i take my laptop anywhere i would traditionally hit hibernate, to avoid the long startup time of windows. When i try to hibernate in Gutsy, gnome closes, and i get to a black screen with a blinking cursor (dos-style)... Thats it. The laptop never power off or anything, it just sits at that screen. I doubt this is supposed to happen, so does anyone have any insight?

My second problem is with my volume controls. The master volume control does absolutely nothing, i can mute it and still hear sound. It appears that the PCM volume level is controlling all volume levels (including cds). Is there a way to change this, or at very least a way to map the volume keys on my laptop to PCM control?
