hardy rc desktop switcher

hello,

running hardy rc, compiz-fusion with only one problem: the viewport switcher does not work. neither the gnome panel applet, awn switcher, nor hotkeys will switch workspaces.

i can switch workspaces with compiz expo, so switching in and of itself works.

if i run metacity, the gnome panel switcher and hotkeys work.

any ideas?

well, i don't know how it happened but it suddenly works. it hasn't worked for the few days that i've been using it and i log out, lock back in, and voila! it works.
