Dear Tom,
I promised that I'd try to stop asking so many questions.
I lied. :)
1. If I buy a Ratel that has two optical drives can I put a CD in, in the top (or bottom) one, and burn music that way?
I had a friend that used his Windows (ughhh) machine in that way.
He'd put one CD on top, and burn another CD in the tray below. I thought "How kool!".
Might you be able to do some research and tell me if this is possible on your 'System 76' machines (especially on the 'Ratel'), or NOT.
Aside from that, can you explain to me why having TWO optical drives would be a good thing to do?
The reason above was my main reason for buying two optical drives.
Thanks for helping me find an answer to this question.
2. I researched the company who makes your keyboards, and they say that you can use a button (or key, I forget which now) to tune-in to internet radio.
Could you please tell me if this is true for the WIRED keyboard that you guys sell too? I do hope so!
And I was wondering if you put your 'System 76' logo on your keyboard, like you do on your computer. I like the 'System 76' logo, a lot.
"In reference to the Revolution of 1776", you said in one post explaining about your company's name.......You reminded me of "Jack Ryan" (Author Tom Clancy's CIA hero) in 'The Hunt For Red October" movie.
Those were his exact words in 'The Hunt For Red October' movie......except they were 'in reference' to the Russian Revolution.
I thought "Go Tom!" ;-)
If I could make the month of May come any faster, I would, so I could order our new machine from you guys there at 'System 76'.
But we're almost there now!
I may have another question or two before then, if so, I'll try to post them as they come to mind.
The kind gentleman the other day, mentioned an internet radio system in Ubuntu called 'Totem'.
3. Might you be able to tell me anything about how 'Totem' works?
That's it for now. Again I wanna thank you for all of your assistance and energy in answering my (MANY) questions.
Your a good man Tom, keep up the good work!
