Hi,
Just installed Ubuntu 7.10 on my home server, which acts as a gateway to the rest of my network. This machine is then connected to a router/modem which makes the internet connection itself.
So, at the moment it's working with FireStarter ICS, and it works "well" (or at least much better than with XP). (Have already setup Samba and Webmin).
My question is:
Is there anything i can do, to limit internet speed of the clients connected to the gateway? Any script, app or piece of code that i can use on startup so clients have internet top speeds of 200kb/s?
I know there are distros developed just for routing, but i need it to be a complete OS, with Open Office etc etc. so i'm trying to do it with ubuntu.
Thanks for any help!
Best regards!
