Has anyone tried installing 8.04 on a newer HP laptop? When I say newer, I mean preferably a dv9000 series. I've heard that it runs fine on dv6000, 4000, and 2000 series books, but the 9000 series has newer vid and wireless cards. I'm asking because I'd have to format an hdd to put 8.04 on, and I don't want to go through it unless I'm going to have an "easy" time installing it. I don't mind having to shoehorn here or there, but it's just not going to be worth upgrading if it's going to take a couple of wipes and/or a couple of weeks to get it working good, you know? Thanks for the assist
