Ok,

I have 3 monitors and when I first installed ubuntu when I opened anything out of a file browser (nautilus) it would open the document (pdf, etc..) into some empty space usually on the other monitor.

Now it opens on top of the browser I am in. This is not ideal when you have more than one monitor.

Moving the document viewer to the other window then closing it helps only for that file (if I reopen it it opens to the same place) but for the other files it opens into the same monitor that I am in.

If I resize a file, the new file opens into the same size, but not the same place. This holds true for full screen also.

Like I said it used to work, at the least it would remember the location, but it does not anymore.

Is there a config file or something that might help?

Thanks in advance.

I am not using any effects.
