im looking for a second logging program except the default one ...for personal reasons...
any recommadations?

i want a second logging programm especially for the logins(like auth.log)
i have the impression that something is not right... and i want to check it out

Do you want an alternative to gdm? If you want a nested X login within a session, try xnest.

in more "human" words? <-maybe this can help also...
the main point is i want a 2nd logging app running the same same time with auth.log writting in a different directory

Apart from what the current logging mechanisms, there are a couple of Kernel level auditing tools for files. Check out the following links:

Also tell us exactly what you are trying to figure out.

i am not exacly tring to figure out something...
i want to check the logins according to another program... for personal security reasons... so any luck for me?
just another logging program for logins like the output of auth.log
