View Full Version : [ubuntu] Sony Vaio VGX-XL3 - Intel HD Audio no Digital out (SPDIF)

Hello,

I have a Sony Vaio XL3 that has the Intel HD audio and I have problems with the digital out, however the analog out works without any issues.

Can anyone help me? I already spent a great deal of time on this issue... and this is the only reason why I can't convert my media center from Vista to Linux MCE.

I have the same issue on Ubuntu 7.04, 7.10 and 8.04 RC.

It is recognized from alsamixer as:
