vinagre vnc: can't browse windows domain

Vinagre is a very good piece of software, but when I click on "connect", and on "find", and choose my windows domain from the list, it gives me this error:

Esplorazione del tipo di servizio _rfb._tcp nel dominio alfonsine.fruttagel.it fallita: Fallimento DNS: NXDOMAIN

It is in italian, in english it should be something like:

Browsing service type _rfb._tcp nel dominio my.domain.it failed: Fail DNS: NXDOMAIN

What's the matter ? How can I resolve this ?

When I insert manually the client's name, it works fine.

I have a similar problem with Vinagre. So far I haven't been able to use it and I still rely on the old Terminal Server Client program (tsclient).

I know the IP of the computer I want to connect to but I don't know what port it's suppose to be... It's a Vista machine.
