hi new to linux ,i cannot connect to internet via adsl wired
new installation UNBUNTO 7.2 . cd not connecting either
i can access router menu , ping also works

hardware ethernet realtec rtl8139(a)
d-link router dsl-g604t
i have tried manual configeration . network box is checked
in terminal pppoeconf utility finds eth0 scans then reports
access concastinator of provider no response

have you tried pinging an external website? type ping google.com and post results here

Hi used your DHCP article for network also had to change the dns tab from router utility address to router dns address.
It works.
Minor new problem, if i reboot close browser internet stops
dns tab has old address.I have saved in network also deleted
all entries then resaved still occurs.
Need a little more help
