Xorg.conf problems at bootup

To start off with, i use a standard xorg.conf file and i have an ATI Saphire X800 128 mg video card and a Viewsonic A70f+ crt monitor.

With that said, i cannot boot up into xserver. The installation of breezy went fine, but when i tried to boot up it said warning: could not open x server, blah blah blah. I had this problem with hoary, and i had a temporary fix by putting an x86 conf file from knoppix in, but after i rebooted i think it auto-updated the xorg.conf file because everything stopped working again. Does anyone know how to fix this? And there is my xorg.conf below in case anyone wants to see it

Assuming that you've already done the sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg then look at your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file and post the relevant errors.
