I am trying to install the kdegames-kde4 game package and I can't find it using the Synaptic manager so I tried to get adept manager and it says adept conflicts with something and to switch to synaptic. Help please Do I have to have kde's GUI or what?

no you don't have to "kde's GUI".
click on Sections --> All
then highlight something, and type kdegames-kde4.
be aware though, installing kdegames-kde4 will install ALL kde4 games. if you only want some, or know which ones you want specifically, then you don't need to install kdegames-kde4.

when you say all how many are we talking do you know? any way I kinda wanted all if it's not too much like 20gbs or something like that. I searched synaptic in all after reloading the list and it's still not there it finds nothing.
