Hi, i have looked through a few tutorials and managed to get steam working to a certain extent.
When i play a game i frequently get very high pings (100-1000ms), and the ping jumps around a lot. I am guessing this is something to do with wine having to 'forward' packets and struggling to keep up. i am not sure there though. what can i do to reduce my ping (on windows i get 20-30 normally).
I also have no sound, i have looked through things trying to explain but am throughly confused:S. Can someone please explain in a simple way (i am a bit of a linux n00b) how to get the sound working.
