So I did, and found out after installation that those drivers were for Vista. You think the XP updater would atleast realize that it doesn't need Vista drivers, but it didn't. Now my screen is completely screwed up. Its chopped up, with the bits dancing across the screen continuously. I can't do anything.

Ubuntu still works fine. Is there a way to fix my Windows XP without running XP Restore from the discs? Last time I did that, it killed my Ubuntu install, and I don't want to have to lose everything on my hard drive again. Keep in mind that I can't see anything or do anything on Windows because of the screwed up graphics card update.

Help? How can I undo this?

Hit (I think) F8 when you get to the "Booting Windows" screen. it should give you a few boot menu options such as using

"Last known good configuration".

Select that one and you should boot into XP without the updated video driver.

Then you can reinstall your original XP ATI driver.

If that doesn't do it, there's booting into Safe Mode then reinstalling the XP driver.
