how is mythbuntu 8.04 x64 edition?
has there been any problems with it like there was with 7.10?
I currently have 7.10 x86 version up and running except for VNC and SPDIF audio. and I want to upgrade here to 8.04 since it is a LTS version.
if I should have looked somewhere else before posting here please point me in that direction.
Thanks yall!

Stevo,
I have 7.10AMD64 running. I have not used vnc, as I just use SSH. I do however have an issue with SPDIF. It worked with mythtv .20, it broke upon upgrade to mythtv .21. Did you have it working in .20? What version are you running now?
What errors do you get when trying to play a 5.1DVD?
Here is my thread on the spdif. No joy yet. Maybe we can bang heads together. I have four months of work into my systems. I did not even realize spdif broke until I got firewire working again. I thought I was ready for full on production and get rid of my MCE2005 setup. I am not ready to start over.

 what was wrong with 7.10 x64 ??? I don't rightly remember. I had tried several versions of Linux MCE, and several versions of Mythbuntu. everything from 6.4 (that i had laying around from a previous attempt) to 7.10 all versions from alternates to to x64 and I think most of them had problems on install where the screen turned off. then I finally figured out that if I remove the quite install it seemed to work.
I was told on IRQ that the x64 version wasn't quite up to par and that I should just go with the x86 version.
SPDIF: I know it worked with MCE and I havent really played arround with it at all since installing because most of the stuff I watch on it is from hulu or something like that.
after I get married next month I plan on spending more time working on it.

This quote explains so much
:EDIT:
I'd also like to point out that the screen turning off isn't a "stability" issue
