Is ubuntuguide dead?

It hasn't been updated since August 2nd and many of the links aren't working anymore..
Are they just writing the Breezy guide or...? :/

My experience is that it generally works, but some of the repository information is a little outdated. w32codecs and libdvdcss2, among a couple of other things, have been taken out of the universe repositories, and the backports mirrors are gone.

In the meantime (until it gets updated), I've created this page:

I don't know when/if it's going to be updated, though.

Or better yet, refer to the Ubuntu 5.10 Starter Guide in Yelp by clicking on System -> Help.

It does not contain the legally-questionable stuff though, but the starter guide is always open for suggestions.

As for what i've read from other threads on the forum, Chua Wen Kiat is working on the new 5.10 guide, but I dunno the status... though i would love to get my hands on finished parts so i can translate it to dutch. ( https://sourceforge.net/projects/ubuntuguide-nl )

It will all be back soon. There is a new team taking over maintanance as Chau the other is ill. I'll mirror all the old version too. It will be here very soon!
