Trackmania Nations Forever

Right, so I've downloaded the now entirely free version of Trackmania Nations Forever (standalone, not steam). Installed it through Cedega, and it works fine. Like, runs at a surprisingly good speed.
But...
It won't connect to multiplayer. I have no idea why, as everything else works (nearly) without a hitch.
I've forwarded the ports on my router, yet still nothing.
Does anyone know of any solutions?

it's not working for me in vanilla wine.

I've installed it through crossover games and i got the same problem, i cant connect to a server and sound isn't working.

With beta, it worked fine with wine + play on linux with directx installed. Need to try with final version though.

Only the sound was garbage. (And none of the beta terster got the sonud working). Will take some log sending to the wine devs i think

One version of wine caused the connexion with the master server to fail, so, get the latest version if you're using wine.
Don't remember anyone mentionning cdgea so, no idea about that one.

true.. mine works, but no sound and no network..
i'm using wine-1.0.1

and with virtualbox and XP i had no success.. :S
