remove vista completely :)

is there a good reason to use vista (instead of xp) if you are dependant on a M$ OS?

if its a vista problem, and you really need to keep vista for some reason, you will get better help from a vista forum, although i dont know a good one

Me neither, sounds like a Vista issue. When I used to use Windows in my computer class, it was so garbage, I had to atleast restart every 25min, it was really ridiculous.

Moved to Windows Discussions.

What make and model of mouse and keyboard do you have? Also what are your computer specs?

Did you just update your Vista? If you did, then read this article (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/04/16/vista_defender_sp1/) in The Register.

The headline reads "Windows Vista update 'kills' USB devices".

So possibly this is the problem.

Yeh isnt it funny that Linux gets shot at for lack of hardware support when a allegedly "professional" OS shoots itself by messing up something as critical as USB support.

A couple of years ago ubuntu got slated for releasing an update that borked xorg. Microsoft better get some jip for this!
