Why is it that when I schedule a recording, auto commflag and transcode that the commercials are not cut? Is it simply a matter of tweaking the transode script to --loadcutlist and --honorcutlist or something like that?
Seems like that would be a nice feature and may already be in the new release (I haven't tried to auto-remove commercials yet). I know this can be done with user jobs but that is an extra step.

Is it there and I'm missing it?

I believe what you want to do is to do the transcode first, then do the commflag.

If you want the commercials removed completely, you need to use mytharchive and load the cutlist there.

i know that when I watch a recording I can load the cutlist and then transcode to remove commercials. I just dont see why I have to manually load the cutlist. However, I can see why some people would want it that way (commercials not flagged right) but at least give the option during scheduling the recording.
This is a minor issue for me and I appreciate the work that goes into mythtv/mythbuntu,
