I know you can create a bookmark in a recorded program, which is very handy when you can't watch the entire program at once, and that is working super!
But.. if you place your own avi file into the system, something that wasn't recorded through the tuner, is there a way to place a bookmark in that show? I haven't discovered if that is possible.
Using MythBuntu 7.10 with all the 0.21 updates.

Are you talking about placing a file for viewing with mythvideo? Yes you can if you are using the "Internal" video player to playback your files.

No, I can easily watch any of my avi's, hear my mp3's or view my photos.
What I'm asking about, is if there's a bookmark feature when watching your own media... just like when watching recorded programs.

newlinux is right.
You can use the bookmark feature of the internal player for your videos, but you need to go to the settings for video files and mark the type of extentions (avi, mpeg, etc) to use the internal player, then all the features you expect with your recordings are applied to your videos.
