Hey.
I know this is a very common problem, but I am just wondering if there is any kind of fix, or if it's just something we'll have to live it for sticking it to the big guy, (him being microsoft in this case.)

I haven't been able to find any fixes when I searched around, but who knows. Maybe I suck at using google. :p

I just quickly checked the unofficial Cedega wiki, and there was no mention of snow, so I decided to check Transgaming.org forums, and again no mention of snow. I don't believe I've ever witnessed this myself either. Can you post your P2P settings, and any command lines you're running with wow?

Are you using d3d or opengl? There is a known problem with rendering things like the targeting circle and footprints where they are drawn below the ground instead of just above. I've heard a rumor this is because of a difference in sign convention in opengl so that there is a '-' instead of a '+' in the z (vertical) direction. Opengl rendering in my experience is FAR superior to d3d with cedega/WoW so I just live with it.

I see this flicker as well; it seems related to footprints. I'll try -opengl mode this weekend, but everything else seems fine using the standard mode on my nvidia card.
