This is the subject that has been written about a lot of times but I stumbled upon some last years posts saying that I can play wmv with 64bit svn mplayer ??? Is this true ??? I have mplayer32 installed but it stopped working and I started reading on the forums and found some topics about 64bit mplayer playing wmv files.
Anyone has any info on this ?? I need to play those wmv files asap since they are material for my exams.
Thanks

I think wmv should work with any player once you install the gstreamer codecs.
I use VLC player, works generally ok.

Well I didnt have luck with gstreamer codecs. Mplayer generally plays everything I need (lots of HD material) but cant play wmv files.

woah. I just ran synaptics and installed i32-mplayer and I have gui and everything and it runs wmv files no prob. :D
still terminal command mplayer32 gets the same line.
How can I uninstall that mplayer32 that I manually installed ??
I cant find the guide which I used to delete files manually.
Thanks
