The newest game (Beautiful Katamari) turns out is kind of crap, but you can watch some videos of the older games, and definitely check out the wallpapers to understand the playful spirit of the game.

I am not necessarily looking for a "theme" so much as an "icon theme." I have a picture but i don't really know how to break apart a picture and make different icons from it...

Its not that simple, I am sure they want the background removed, and may want them resizable (ie, svg)

Yes yes... that's what I meant... like, I would like to have the background removed and then the images be like "icon" sized... So they would JUST look like the little circle character... I don't know if that sounds dumb... I really don't know much about editing things down, etc.

My question to you is, do you have permission from the maker of this to make icons from it? Most likely they will have copyrighted it and want you to get permission before editing it.

Regarding permission... there is permission from the maker of the image to use it for PERSONAL use (i.e-desktop wallpaper), but not permission to distribute it. I wouldn't call this distribution, because I am asking for it to be edited down for my personal use. So I don't believe that would infringe on the permission issue.

Feel free to correct me if that's an untrue assumption!

saj would probably have to email it to you, as it would be illegal for him to do otherwise (as it would be publically available).

That would be fine too... I appreciate you bringing it to my attention.

If anyone else would like it, I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to leave a direct link to the original... That way you can be getting your wallpaper from the source, not further complicating matters.
