Can anyone point me at step by step methods for creating ubuntu kernal images with gnome front end for an embedded app to run from compact flash.
I am familiar with doing this under QNX but not for Linux.
Are there better Linux ports than Ubuntu for doing this?
I need gnome, or similar, some threads, networking and serial port handling and multimedia player, eg vlc.
