Should I install IE7 to replace IE6 even though I will never use it.

Basically I'm asking if XP is more vulnerable with IE6 in the system.

Or will good internet practice make that redundant?

edit. I use firefox

If you don't use it, it shouldn't do any harm. But it is always better having the latest version

IE7 is much better than IE6.

It might be worth upgrading to keep up to date, but if you don't use it, it really doesn't matter.

If you are not using IE6 to browse the web, it doesn't matter.

Use Opera...

That's it. If you don't use it, you don't need to update. If you're worried about security, wait the WinXP SP3 :)

IE7 was a big step forward, now MS at last has a usable browser. I use it at university PCs, and haven't got major issues with it, for simple browsing it works well. I'd suggest to upgrade, since you might run into a sucky site that works only for IE (**** happens). It won't hurt.
Anyway, I use Opera. :)
