After a long wait we finally have sidux 2008-1 (NYX) in 32-bit LITE, 64-bit LITE and 32+64-bit (DVD Combo).
This is for your information.
For bleeding-edge Debian-

Should take just about 5 minutes to install in a decent machine.
Worth trying out while waiting for HARDY.

Sidux is IMHO the BEST Debian distro out there if you are looking for cutting edge.

i'm sorry for being off topic, but how would "cutting edge" enrich my life as compared to boring old ubuntu?(sarcasm) examples? i ask because i hear the buzzwords "cutting edge", alot. i await your life impacting response.

I don't think any OS could "enrich ones life." For that I would suggest a journey to a retreat or volunteer work. ;)
But I'm sure you have been around long enough to know what "cutting edge" means, and whether or not you want your OS to exhibit those qualities.
Distros like Sidux (debian sid), Fedora, and others provide updates and bug fixes to the software on a continual basis.
Some like that feature and some don't. It's just a matter of choice.
Ubuntu is good since you get newer versions of software every 6 months. If you don't want to wait 6 months, there are distros that allow you to get the newer stuff faster.

I used to run sidux on my main machine. Could never get Compiz Fusion to work. I might try this one since there is support for Gnome.

if one must run kde over debian, sidux is the route to go. though i think i'll stick w/ a bare lenny install for my debian needs. =]

There is support for GNOME in debian Sid?? I thought GNOME in Sid was a no-no..... (well at least in Sidux)

This is what the release note says about other DMs-
Another major topic has been the dissolution of the former "sidux" menu into the XDG compliant menu categories, which — in combination with the new SVG based artwork — allow for better compatibility with alternative window managers and desktop environments and have been a precondition for future KDE4 or potential GNOME or XFCE support.
I do not think that Gnome is really supported yet.
