Hey all I am trying to get an Ubuntu machine at work up and running to possibly replace my Windows desktop. I have installed Ubuntu 7.1 x86 on a HP DC5000.
My question is I have enabled the proxy information in the Synaptic Package manager screen and I have configured the proxy settings accordingly and entered my creds but I still cannot get through.
I did the same for Firefox and I am able to get through. I am actually creating this post on the Ubuntu rig. Does anyone have any ideas on what I need to do in order to get through proxy?
Has anyone else encountered the same or similar issues?
