You will need Python 2.5 and Python-Qt4 libraries to launch DJL.

DJL manager is a free software (GPL) written in Python 2.5 for the operating system GNU / Linux, It is similar to Steam by Valve software.

It provides, via repsitory, downloading, installing and removing games in DJL subdirectory in a fully transparent manner (but without managing dependencies).
It can also import desktop shortcuts, place them in own subdirectory (to be able to run games already installed on the system).

A number of free(GPL) or free-of-charge games (more then 40 now) are available in the repository. You can add more via a menu and submit it to the developer.
The list of games is updated regularly from the Internet, it is not fixed.

DJL can download and decompress / install packages tar, tar.gz (or tgz), tar.bz2, zip or GUI installers such as . package or. run (Loki installers). But these are only decompressed, without questions, the aim is that the installation is done in a fully transparent manner, without user intervention.

The games can then be removed in one mouse click.

Each entry in repository contain a description, screenshot and link to homepage to help you choose which ones to install.

Once the games are installed, they can be launched from the main interface, which lists not only games installed from the repository, but also imported shortcuts.

DJL has RSS for some Linux Gaming Sites. IRC-chat for players.

DJL has Gnome/KDE integration, fully support (include repository entries) French, Russian and partially English (beta).

Awesome project. I'd love to help out with translating, but my French is a little rusty, and English isn't my native language. However, I might just be able to help you translate it into Swedish.

So feel free to e-mail to diablo151@wanadoo.fr
Sure he will be glad to make a Swedish support for DJL. :)
I'm just russian translator not author of DJL.
U can edit english translation with any text editor. Just change english phrases to Swedish. The file is usually in
~/djl/djl/i18n/en_US/LC_MESSAGES/djl.po

Edit and then send to Diablo

There we go! I've now sent it to him. It was a little tricky here and there, but my translation should be ok for the most part.

I used the English translation to some extent when translating it into Swedish, and it's perfectly usable in English right now. There are some quirks, but I'm sure it's not that bad.

This is an extremely good idea! I'll download it and get going on it right away! I'll also let you know how the English is too ;)
