I installed VMWare Player under 7.10 x86 and it loads and runs fine.
I installed XP Pro in the VM. The VM is set to use the E1000 driver (common from everything I read) but XP reports problems with the network device and says I need to reinstall the drivers.
I know that the driver is a virtual driver un VMWare Player but within the XP install what driver do I setup to get this to work? My install disc has a limited selection and I have tried a number of the Intel Pro 10/100 drivers without success.
I have read a lot of other posts with people having problems with their drivers no longer working after one update or another but none that were not able to get the driver working on a new install, or at least not one that had a solution.
Help?
