I've produced a deb of linuxsampler for amd64 machines. There is also a deb of liblinuxsampler, all other dependencies can be installed from Hardy's repos, I haven't tested it on Gutsy.

YOu can get it from the download section of my site (http://www.viciouslime.co.uk).

Hi, I can't seem to download the liblinuxsampler deb. It just downloads the linuxsampler one again :(.

i will try this from home later tonight
thank you.

question, as I have not yet used LinuxSampler
could it be used for the following:
I want to record various found sounds with my portable recording device.
Import the .wav files into Ubuntu.
Use some sort of software to load the samples
trigger them with midi pads from my trigger-finger (I have jack and trigger finger working well)

I see all this talk of giga sample etc and that all sounds great but what i am looking for is a straighforward audio sample player.
Something I can load mutliple samples itno and trigger with midi.

does linuxsampelr fit the bill (before it try to download and compile and all that?)
